Timber post and beam construction is a type of timber framing using heavy timber columns (posts) and beams as the primary structural frame of your home. Contrast this to the more common timber framing methods using 2x4 timber or stud panels. Our method is a more traditional technique and results in the beautiful exposure of timber posts and beams within your home. Typical timber species used include Eastern White Pine and Douglas Fir.
